Nrityotsava

This event is to bring together young, budding performers who are deprived of opportunities to showcase their talents, from 11 different Indian Classical Dance institutes in and around Mangaluru. The nineteen participants will perform solo and duet dance sequences. This is the first crowdfunded Indian Classical Dance event happening in Mangaluru.

Being students of dance themselves, Kavya and Meha have bothexperienced the challenge of not having enough performance opportunities. Witnessing the younger generation of amateur dancers not getting enough experience performing on-stage, there was always a need felt to provide a platform for aspiring dancers to unveil their talent.

The event has been curated for the young dance fraternity to express themselves as performers and exhibit their talent. This event intends to cater to enriching the youth and to connect the younger generation of dance students from the city and around. The objectives of this occasion
include developing individuality among young dancers, promoting arts, engaging the local community in cultural pursuit, and inspiring blossoming performers to pursue their interests.

The program will be inaugurated by Mrs. Shreedevi Anil, a renowned social activist(MSW in Social Work) accompanied by Smt. Radhika Shetty, Director of Nrityaangan, Mangaluru.

Best wishes to all the young performers. Kudos to the young organisers who have worked really hard to make this happen. It’s now upto us, the citizens of Mangalore to support them by attending the event on Saturday 5th August and making it a huge success, thereby encouraging more young people to come forward and propogate our arts.

A classical dance needs a lot of training and practice too . Without proper training we are not able to be successful. Lets encourage the little ones by applauding in mass
