Mangaluru, July 31,2017: Yuva Nrityotsava, a Bharatanatyam event organized by Kavya Mahesh and Meha Shetty, in association with Nrityaangan, Mangaluru,to be held on August, 5 2017, at 5:30 PM, at Don Bosco Hall, Balmatta,Mangaluru, says a media note received here.
This event is to bring together young, budding performers who are deprived of opportunities to showcase their talents, from 11 different Indian Classical Dance institutes in and around Mangaluru. The nineteen participants will perform solo and duet dance sequences. This is the first crowdfunded Indian Classical Dance event happening in Mangaluru.
Being students of dance themselves, Kavya and Meha have bothexperienced the challenge of not having enough performance opportunities. The event has been curated for the young dance fraternity to express themselves as performers and exhibit their talent. This event intends to cater to enriching the youth and to connect the younger generation of dance students from the city and around. The objectives of this occasion
include developing individuality among young dancers, promoting arts, engaging the local community in cultural pursuit, and inspiring blossoming performers to pursue their interests.
The program will be inaugurated by Mrs. Shreedevi Anil, a renowned social activist(MSW in Social Work) accompanied by Smt. Radhika Shetty, Director of Nrityaangan, Mangaluru.
