Mangaluru, Feb 8, 2015: A free orientation programme on competitive exams organised by the Aathma Shakti Co-operative Society was inaugurated by JR Lobo, MLA of Mangaluru South at Sarvamangala Hall at Garodi near Kankanady on February 8, Sunday. The training programme is targeted at SSLC, PUC and degree students who aspire to take up administrative services.

Speaking on the occasion, JR Lobo exhorted the students to prepare for administrative services examination with dedication and hard work and added that a government sector job has several plus points when compared to private sector jobs.

Deputy Commissioner A.B. Ibrahim, regretted that many do not opt for government jobs owing to the notion that the returns are very less. But no one should forget that a government job provides one with the opportunity to serve the society, the DC observed.

Dr Sharanappa, SP, Dr Ganesh Amin, Lecturer at St Aloysius College and several others were present.
