Speaking to media men here on November 21, Saturday, Poojary at the same time said the Prime Minister who was extremely busy in foreign tours had no time to solve problems in his nation. He also criticised the prime minister for not visiting  the residence of  aggrieved farmers.

Continuing,  Poojary said he failed to understand why the Congress government in the state was hell bent upon implementing the Yettinahole Project despite widespread opposition. He further alleged that all leaders including the BJP and Congress leaders were resorting to drama over the issue.

He was also critical of Union Law Minister D V Sadananda Gowda and former union minister Veerappa Moily and accused Gowda of  issuing controversial statements regarding the project during his visit to Kolar and Mangaluru. Even Moily says the project cannot be stopped by anyone, Poojary said adding  the politicians who have the responsibility of solving the issue are instead sleeping over it.

Poojary strongly criticised the  bill tabled by former speaker Ramesh Kumar with an intention of curbing lavish weddings, Poojary said  it was nothing but invasion  of privacy of the people.

Slamming BJP Member Subrahmaniam Swamy for his allegation that Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi was a British national,  Poojary accused Swamy of resorting to cheap politics by making such allegations.

Mahabala Maarla, former mayor, TK Sudhir and others were present at the press meet.
