Yekkur new railway over bridge open relief to public

Yekkur, April 9, 2016: The new railway over bridge constructed at Yekkur on NH-66 was thrown open for traffic Apr 7.  It is  a huge relief to commuters who once upon a time had to deal with frequent traffic jams.

The new bridge is 31 meters long and 11.50 meters wide; five girders have been joined for supporting the bridge.

There is a difference of about 3.50 meters between the old and the new bridge and the new one is one meter higher that the old one. The bridge has been constructed as per guidelines from the Railway Ministry.
