Mangaluru, Oct 14, 2015 :  A woman has lodged a complaint  with the Bunder police alleging that  a multi-purpose co-operative society  of the city  which had promised  high interest to its depositors had cheated them  of nearly Rs 15 crores.

The complainant Juliana Lobo  said she had been investing a fixed sum  since five years every month  and her total investment exceeeded Rs 18 lakhs.


However, the Society  had failed to fulfill its promise of offering  14 per cent interest on the deposits, she alleged.


In her complaint, she has appealed to the police to take action against the  society for cheating.

"Greed leads to Heavy loss " this saying is cent percent true. Due to the high interest rates the people invest the co-operative banks. Always prefer nationalized banks to avoid such risks.
