He was speaking at the valedictory function of the 41st national junior shuttle badminton tournament here on December 17, Saturday.
Lauding the Udupi District Badminton Association for providing various facilities for badminton players, Vimal Kumar said he was happy to note that even parents have been encouraging children playing badminton.
Badminton Association of India Secretay Jaiswal, Chief Referee Deshi Pandekar, District Co-operative Union President Kishan Hegde Kolkebail, Udupi Badminton Association President Raghupathi Bhat and others were present.
