Will appeal to CM to set up up IT Park in Mangaluru : KEONICS Chairman Harikrishna Bantwal

Mangaluru, Dec 28, 2020:    KEONICS Chairman Harikrishna Bantwal has said that he would submit a memorandum to Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa to set up a model IT Park in Mangaluru in memory of Bantwal Ramakrishna Baliga, the first Chairman of KEONICS.

Speaking to reporters here on December 28, Monday, Harikrishna said  it was the vision of Baliga that helped in creation of the Electronic City in Bengaluru and added  Baliga’s efforts has gone unrecognised.

Harikrishna further said an IT Park in Mangaluru would ensure job opportunities to nearly 20,000 youngsters of the district and added that this would go a long way in solving the problem of unemployment.

Harikrishna also stated that the IT Park in Mangaluru needs 100 acres and  added that the land was available. He further added that  a software hub will be set up on a three acre land at Derebail and that it has already secured the approval.
