Mangaluru, Apr 16, 2018 : Hosabettu Corporator and Congress leader Pratibha Kulai who has strongly condemned the Kathua incident reported from Jammu and Kashmir has said that she would add the name of the Kathua victim to the name of her daughter Prithvi.
Speaking to reporters at the DK District Congress Office on April 16, Monday, Pratibha Kulai accompanied by her daughter and other Congress women’s wing leaders said "Though I am a Hindu, the present situation is such that I feel ashamed to call myself so in front of the BJP Hindus."
"I am aware through my own experiences as to how far the saviours of Hindus who raise slogans of Bharath Matha Ki Jai come to the rescue of women. I have the video of the misdeeds of my brothers who call themselves as Hindus but prevented my campaigning at Kodikere during the previous Lok Sabha polls and later threatened me at my home," Pratibha said and even showed some video clippings of the same.
She said she was showing the video now as it is election time so that she does not face a similar situation even this time during campaigning.
Asked why she has not complained, she said she has already lodged several complaints.
Latha Salian, Shakuntala Kamath, Jacintha D’Souza and others were present.
