Wild elephant attack at Kadaba kills rly labourer; another injured

Kadaba, Mar 07, 2018 : In a tragic incident reported from Kombaru  in Kadaba police station limits late night on March 5, Tuesday, a railway labourer  was killed and  another sustained injuries when they were attacked by a wild elephant  while they were sleeping outside a shed.

The deceased has been identified as Ranjith (52) of Madhurai. The injured person is  Lakshman. They  had arrived for the  railway bridge works at Anekal in Kombaru village. Yet another labourer Shanmugam managed to escape.

It is gathered that the labourers had chosen to sleep outside the shed as it was too hot inside.

The injured labourer has been admitted to Kadaba Government Hospital. A case has been registered in local police station.
