Whatsapp photo row : Girl alleges photo was tampered

Mangaluru, Feb 24, 2015: There has been an interesting twist to the Whatsapp photo controversy revolving around five girl students and a couple of male students of the Govinda Dasa College in Suratkal, wherein a photo  of the girls seated with a boy lying on the laps went viral.

 

One of the girls has now alleged that the  photo which was first clicked by her classmate Vineeth on February 18 and was posted on Facebook was later  accessed by someone after hacking her account and that the photo was doctored and then uploaded on social sites.

A case has been registered by Suratkal police in this regard and investigations are underway.

It may be recalled here  that  the photo of Mohammad Swali, a student of the college lying on the laps of five girls   had gone viral. One of the students seen in the photo, namely Riyaz was even abducted and thrashed by some assailants. In another development a total of six students including the five girls and the boy lying on their laps in the photo,  have been suspended following the incident.
