City Police Commissioner T R Suresh speaking on the occasion lauded the efforts of Ramakrishna Mission in creating awareness among young minds about cleanliness. He also  highlighted the importance of Mission’s initiative in Swacch Manas, training young minds and  Swacch Gram, Awareness programme among villages. He also appreciated the all- inclusiveness of the programme as people irrespective of caste, creed, religion and colour are supporting the initiative.

Swami Dayadhipanandaji regretted that the nation that believed in the dictum of “cleanliness is next to Godliness” had to start an Abhiyan like this as it forgot the importance of hygiene and wished the programme success.  Swami Prakashanandaji appreciated the consistent efforts by Ramakrishna Mission for the last  3 years and its present expanded form including students, youth  and  villagers.

Swamijis and guests took up the broom and cleaned the main road in Hampankatta area. A  group of 50 volunteers removed illegally pasted posters from the compound walls of Taluk  Panchayat office to the Govt. The footpath frequently used by the  pedestrians was damaged posing danger. This was repaired with the help of expert masons and steps have been erected in its place.

Illegally put up posters have been ruining the beauty of the city. Volunteers have been actively  involved in removing them since last 4-5 weeks. Today also volunteers removed the banners  and wall posters in Pandeshwara,  Hampankatta area.
