Voters must submit photographs by Aug 15: Tahsildar

Mangalore, Aug 11: Tahsildar Manjunath said that the names of voters who fail to submit their photographs by Aug 15 will be removed from the voters’ list. He was speaking at the general body meeting of the Taluk Panchayat on Tuesday.

 

 

 

Stating that Mangalore Taluk Panchayat is lagging behind in the work of updating its voters’ list, he said that Aug 15 is the last date for voters to submit their photographs, failing which their names will be deleted from the list.

He said that, out of 12,612 voters, who ought to have submitted their photographs, only 7,718 have been collected, in Moodubidri constituency. In Mangalore North constituency, only 11,435 voters have submitted their photographs and 9,699 are pending. In Mangalore constituency, 8,342 voters have submitted their photographs and 5,744 are pending.
