Bantwal, Apr 27, 2018:  Prime Minister Modi speaks his "Mann Ki Baath’’ wherever he goes, but  the voice of the people of Karnataka are the "Mann Ki Baath" for us Congressmen, said Congress President Rahul Gandhi.

He  was addressing a mammoth election campaign meet at the Golden Maidan at BC Road in Bantwal taluk on April 27, Friday.

"We have never gone back on our words, we have   translated our words into deeds and continue to do so even in the future. Modi speaks about Basavanna’s philosophy and then  backs the corrupt," said Rahul.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who also spoke  said the corrupt have joined hands to loot Karnataka. The Congress would rise to power again by defeating the  BJP, he said.

KPCC Chief G Parameshwar,  Pradesh Congress Election Manifesto Committee Chairman M Veerappa Moily, KPCC  State in-charge K C Venugopal, KPCC Election Campaign Committee  President DK Shivakumar,  District Congress in-charge Vishnunathan, DCC Chief Harish Kumar, Rajya Sabha Member B K Hariprasad, Ivan D’Souza, MLC and others were on the dais.

Special seating arrangements had been made among the audience for the  Congress candidates from the district namely Ramanatha Rai, UT Khader, Shakuntala Shetty, J R Lobo, Moidin Bava and Raghu.
