Bantwal, Sep 11, 2015: A Dalit Seva Samithi leader has filed a complaint against a Veda teacher who had reportedly abused and hit a boy after asking whether he was a Brahmin or a Kshatriya at a Veda camp outside a temple in Vittal. A video of the incident said to have taken place a few months ago had gone viral on social media.
It has been gathered that the teacher behaved in an inhuman way with the student just because he committed an act of indiscipline when the teacher was away. The complaint was filed by BK Sheshappa, Dalit Saeva Samithi leader seeking a thorough probe and stern action against the accused teacher who has been identified as Shyam Prasad Shastri.
It has been learnt that a complaint has also been made to the Department of Women and Child Welfare. There is no information as to the exact date of the incident and also the person who filmed the video.
The teacher doesn’t have the right to ill treat the students. A strict action has to taken on the teacher
