Mangalore Jan 23, 2016: Chancellor of Nitte University N Vinaya Hegde inaugurated two day National Vendor Development programme and Industrial Exhibition organised by MSME-DI Mangalore, Held at KPT Polytechnic College on Friday, 22nd Jan 2016.

In his address he said that, small scale industries play a vitol role in the development of country, this Vendors meet will be the bench mark for the small scale industries where dialogues will be exchanged between the two. Small Scale industry has Vitol role to play as they are technically skilled. Platform has been set to introduce vendors or units like southern Railway, ONGC MRPL and many more.

He also said, India is too dependent for the raw materials from china as economy difference is up to 20% to 25% and China is too aggressive in production of raw materials. Youths should understand the scenario in the sector and must have the capability in reaching customers in large numbers, he advised.

He also said that, there is also the issue of the quantum of money that has to be invested in the industry and the issues of quality, due to all these reasons many small scale industries have been closed.

MLA JR Lobo said that, Due to dominance of china in the Indian market, production rate in India is at slow pace. Small Scale industries need to thrive where collective thinking is required. In its beginning days these small scale industries enter the sector as time goes on they start face problems so it is important industry community need to support, he said.

President of KASSIA V.K.Deekshith said that, small scale industries can compete only when input cast is reduced and output cast will be cheap. According to labour act 7,500 salaries should be provided to the labours, Karnataka has planned to rise up to 10,500 which mean increase of 60% of salary bill. KASSIA will approach the court about gazette notification by the government though there is no continuous power supply.

Joint Director DIC, Gokuldas Nayak, Deputy Director K Socrates, President KCCI Rammohan Pai, President KSIA Henry Britto, Director MSME DI Rangaprasad and others were present.
