Mangaluru, Apr 30, 2019: MLA of Mangaluru South Vedavyas Kamath has alleged that the former MLA of the constituency has failed to implement the Rs 160 crore ADB aided project of 24x7 water supply to the city.
Speaking to reporters here he said a proposal for the second phase of the ADB aided project has been submitted to the government. He said though the city had received Rs 35.51 crore aid under the Amrith Scheme the previous MLA had failed to complete the drinking water project.
He said the city was facing water supply issues with elevated areas not receiving water supply even during monsoons.
He also said he has asked the district administration and officials to take steps towards regular supply of water to the city.
