Valored-organized leadership training camp concludes

Mangalore, May 10, 2012: The valedictory ceremony of the leadership training camp organized by Valored for high school students was held at Spandana Trust, Jeppu on May 9 at 4:00 p.m. 

A total of 332 high school students belonging to various communities participated in this 7-day program. Subjects such as leadership qualities, leadership among youth, various types of leadership, effects of HIV among youth, children’s rights, consumer rights, right to information, personality development, and others were discussed at the leadership training camp.

 

The person who played the key role in organizing this camp was Mr. Victor Vas, the coordinator and also the master of ceremonies.

Sr. Emma Joseph, the superior of Infant Mary’s Convent in Jeppu, presided. In her presidential address, she urged the youth to make themselves useful in society. Speaking of the importance of leadership camps for the youth, she lauded Spandana trust for organizing such a program for teenagers. 

The resource persons were Sr. Evangeline, the managing trustee of Spandana Trust; Renny D’Souza, the director of Valored.
