VHP demands cancellation of licenses of live bands, ladies pubs in city

Mangaluru, June 19, 2018:   If the authorities fail to curb the live bands, massage centres,  ladies bars, pubs  which are operating at several places in the city, the pub attack like  raids may   repeat, warned VHP Mahila Pramukh Asha Jagadish.

Addressing press persons at Press Club here on June 19, Tuesday, she  urged the authorities to immediately  put a check on the same.

VHP District President Jagadish Shenava who also spoke, said   the authorities have permitted ladies bar, live band, pubs and  massage centres at Lalbagh, Hampankatta, Pumpwell and other places.  There is always the fear of youth going astray through such activities. The Police Department and district administration should immediately cancel their licence lest  there will be a  fight against them, he warned.

He also deplored the acts of making offensive posts  regarding Hindu Gods and Goddesses on social sites and urged for steps to curb the same.

Bajrangdal district Convenor Praveen Kuttar,  Bhujanga Kulal, Pradeep Pumpwell and others were present.
