If the bodies of  Babu Gowda (62), Gangamma (55) and their son  Sadananda (32)  were found in one pond, the body of the couple’s another son  Nityananda (30) was found in another pond.

It is believed that utter dejection due to the problems which two of their sons faced due to the ill-effects of the deadly Endosulfan pesticide,  had driven the couple to take such an extreme step. A case has been registered by Dharmasthala Police.
