Mangaluru, Apr 02, 2019 : The Mangaluru Odia Cultural Association (MOCA) organised the Utkal Divas Celebration on April 1st, 2019. The Day was celebrated in the memory of the formation of the Odisha state as a separate province on 1st April 1936.
The Venue was Sujir C V Nayak Hall, Kadri Road, Near Bunts Hostel Circle Mangaluru. Inauguration was at 6.30pm.Chief Guest for the event was Shri. Shri. Mrutyunjay Mahapatra Managing Director and CEO of Syndicate bank. He said he is very happy to participate in the Odia cultural programme at Mangalore. He mentioned to serve the society at large assimilating the syncretic Jagannath Culture”.
Guest of Honors:Shri. Birupaksha Mishra, Executive Director, Corporation Bank, Corporate Office, Mangalore. He said the odia culture is very old, rich and colourful, he is very happy to see the participation of young kids to perform culture of Odisha.
Dr.K.Mohan Pai, Cardiologist and President, GSB Seva Sangh said that “ He is very fond of Odia culture, he mentioned about great poet Jayadeva and shared excellent experience of his visit to Jagannath Temple, Puri during Navakalevara function.
