Urwa ASI assault case : 2 accused arrested

Mangaluru, April 7, 2017 :  Police have achieved a breakthrough  in the investigation into the Urwa ASI Aithappa assault case  with the arrest of two persons. A Yamaha R15 bike in their possession has been seized.

Those arrested are  Mohammad Niyaz (20) from Kana, Suratkal and Sameer (28) from Katipalla.

It is said Niyaz has five cases against him while Sameer has eight cases against him in various police stations.

It may be recalled here that the ASI was attacked during the wee hours of April 5 when he was on patrolling duty near the Ladyhill Circle.

Three police teams under the leadership of ACP Uday Nayak were  formed to nab the accused.

We wish a speedy recovery of Aitappa. The accused arrested in this case have to be put behind the bars....
