Uppinangady, Sep 27, 2017: In a serial theft case, thieves have barged into the Government First Grade College here as well as several shops on the Bank Road in the town. The thefts which took place on September 27, Tuesday night came to light on Wednesday morning.
Thieves who broke into the government college and ransacked the cupboards there, have finally decamped with the DVR of the CCTV camera. They have even burgled a shop owned by Kogganna Kini, Achyut Padiyar’s xerox shop, a furniture store as well as MMS Traders. According to initial estimate a cash of Rs 14,000 has been stolen from all these shops together. Thieves meanwhile have also made a vain bid to burgle Sridhar Jewellers.
Uppinangady police have visited the spot and begun investigations.
