Uppinangady : Locals thwart suicide attempt of Uttar Pradesh man

Puttur, Dec 25, 2018: A man who attempted suicide by jumping into the river from the Kumaradhara bridge in Uppinangady on December 24, Monday  was rescued by the police  and the locals.

suicide_The  person who tried to end his life was identified as Shubham (30) of Uttar Pradesh origin.


The man was taken to the police station after being provided  first aid  at the local hospital.

At the outset he looked  mentally unstable. The police are trying to  know about his native place by contacting other people of Uttar Pradesh origin who are in the town.
