Mangaluru, Nov 22, 2016 : D V Bhasker Gowda, the brother of Union Minister D V Sadananda Gowda has passed away at the KMC Hospital in Mangaluru on November 22 morning following a brief illness. He was 54 years of age.
Bhasker who a practising advocate in Sullia until a few years ago, had quit the legal profession to engage in farming. He was initially hospitalised a month ago for treatment of jaundice and was subsequently discharged. However, he was admitted to KMC Hospital after he developed high fever recently.
On examination doctors found that apart from jaundice he even had some problem in the liver.
Bhasker is survived by his wife Veena, sons Ashiq and Prateek, daughter Sagarika, brothers DV Shivarama, DV Suresh and Sadananda Gowda, sister Ratnavathi and others.
He was also serving as Secretary of Bellippady-Devaragunda Taravadu Trust.
