Unidentified assailants attack BJP worker at Krishnapura

Mangaluru, Apr 15, 2016: A BJP leader and President of the BJP unit in Ward No. 5 of MCC was attacked by a group of four unidentified men at Krishnapura near Suratkal on April 14.

It has been gathered that Bharat Raj (26) was riding his motorbike, when the assailants wielding machetes intercepted him at Krishnapura and attacked him. Luckily, Bharat Raj managed to escape from the assailants by abandoning his bike. He is learnt to have sustained only minor injuries. The assailants then escaped by leaving behind the Scorpio vehicle in which they had arrived. The machetes used by the assailants were found in the vehicle.

Bharat has been admitted to a private hospital. There is no information as to yet regarding the motive behind the attack.

Suratkal police are investigating.
