Ullal: Youth stabbed near Thokkottu; pvt bus stoned

Mangaluru, Nov 15, 2015: Just when everyone was heaving a sigh of relief that  the situation in the district was under control, a youth was stabbed by unidentified bike bound assailants at Babbukatte near Thokkottu on November 14, Saturday.

 

The injured youth named Dheeraj(25) hailing from Innoli in Pavoor has been admitted to Wenlock Hospital.  He was returning home along with a friend Satish in his bike after his duty at a press when the incident took place.

It is learnt the miscreants were following  Dheeraj’s bike. He has sustained stab injuries on his shoulders.

Ullal police are investigating .

In another incident, a private bus  heading towards Someshwar from Mangaluru was stoned by miscreants  on the road between Mukkacheri and Ombattukere on Saturday. A bus passenger named Vijay of Someshwar suffered minor injuries on his face.

 

It is learnt Vijay was sitting on the  back seat of the bus and suffered injuries on his eyes when a sharp object hit it. Luckily, he was wearing dark glasses and therefore did not suffer any major injury.

This incident led to a flash protest by bus drivers on the route for some time.

Investigations are underway.
