Ullal : Youth receives death threats; attacked despite lodging police complaint

Mangaluru, July 27, 2020:    A youth identified as Rifayeez (25) was assaulted outside his house at Melangady near Ullal on Sunday evening for reasons unknown. It has been gathered that he had earlier received death threats on Saturday by a gang led by Arfan. Following this Rifayeez had lodged a complaint. But within hours, he was attacked.

 

The accused have been identified as  Zulwan and Jaldi Irfan, both residents of Ullal. The injured Rifayeez has been hospitalised.

Sources said the gang   had  on Saturday threatened to kill Rifayeez just like Target Ilyas was killed. The assailants  who dragged Rifayeez to a nearby car  had even showed him weapons. Following this Rifayeez had lodged a complaint.  However, he was attacked within hours of him lodging the complaint.
