Ullal: Youth attacked by miscreants for filing RTI query

Mangaluru, May 20, 2016: A gang of micsreants assault a youth at Melangady in Ullal. The incident took place on May 18 Wednesday at night.

hamza Hamza Mohammed (22) is the injured person. He is a resident of Melangady.

It is said that Hamza was allegedly attacked by a group that was not happy with his query regarding the lodge run atop his house in Ullal. He had sought information about the lodge from the Town Municipal Council.

The police said Mohammed and six others waylaid Hamza near his house on Wednesday night and threw chilli powder on his face. They assaulted him with stone and sharp weapons. They fled from the site when Hamza raised an alarm. He is being treated in a hospital in Ullal.

Ullal police are investigating the case.

The police have to take strict action against the persons involved in attacking the youth. They have to be given aeroplane treatment by the police. The punishment should be such that it has to be lesson to all

Thank God they were from same community or else it would have taken a different angle. Some local youth wait to make the situation worst and disturb the harmony.

These its risky to talk against the illegal happenings right in front of us. Baliga’s case is also the same. He questioned was murdered.
