Ullal: Chain snatcher caught red-handed in Kuttar

Ullal, August 12, 2015: A youth was allegedly trashed by locals for trying to snatch a gold chain from a woman near Korangajjana Katte in Kuthar near to Deralakatta.
The police arrested the accused Abdul Rehman, resident of Kinya. According the sources, the accused followed Shobha Shetty who was walking near Koragajjana Katte. When Shobha reached Koragajjana Katte the accused approached her and stopped his bike and allegedly snatched her chain from her neck.
The locals gathered at the spot after the lady shouted for help. They caught Abdul and trashed him when he was trying to escape. The locals then handed him over to the police.
A case has been registered at local police station.
