Udupi mutt launches app, website to book sevas, make donations

Mangaluru, July 14, 2016: Reports on July 13,  indicate, Vishwesha Tirtha Swami of Paryaya Pejawar Mutt launched the website — www.udupisrikrishnamatha.org and a mobile app — Seva—at the Rajangana here  Wednesday.  Both the website and the app will help the devotees to book sevas and offer donations to the Sri Krishna Mutt/Temple here.

The website enables devotees to book various types of sevas available at the Sri Krishna Mutt/Temple online. The amount for various types of sevas ranges from Rs. 30 to Rs. 1.2 lakh. There are over 80 sevas mentioned in the website in its “E-Seva” section.

The devotees can also offer donations online. There are four donations mentioned in the “E-Kanike” section — Chinnara Santharpane, Annadana Kanike, Kanike for education and Kanike for Sri Krishna Matha. The website has tied up with Axis Bank for the online booking service.

The website also gives details of the history of the Sri Krishna Mutt, various festivals which are celebrated and also the times of various rituals. It also has contact numbers and emails in it. Ananth Tantri was instrumental in the creation of this website. The mobile application “Seva” is available both in the Android and iOS App store. Devotees can offer E-Puja or E-Hundi to Sri Krishna Mutt. An e-receipt would be generated immediately.

Multiple E-Puja/E-Hundi transactions can be added to the cart and payments can be made with a tap of a button. Devotees can check the history or status of their E-Puja with this app. The “Seva” team offers 24x7 service and call support (9742429294). Though the names of 12 temples have been mentioned in the app, the E-Puja and E-Hundi facilities are presently available for the Sri Krishna Mutt only.

The app has been created by a team of Chipsy Information Technology Services, Udupi, headed by Sandeep Bhaktha. The team members are: Ramachandra, Gopalakrishna, Raghavendra, Vikesh, Laxmeesha, Srinidhi and Sriadithi.

“Soon we intend to add the routes of reaching Sri Krishna Mutt and details of hotels and lodges in Udupi to help the devotees in the app,” said  Bhakta.    Vishwaprasanna Tirtha, junior seer of Pejawar Mutt, was present on the occasion.
