Udupi : Trade unions stage protest, deplore govt policies

Udupi, Jan 08, 2019:  Members of the trade unions staged a protest in Udupi  on January 8, Tuesday   under the aegis of the Joint Committee of Trade Unions as part of the nationwide strike against the union Government policies. The protestors took out a procession  in the town.


Addressing the protestors  District Convenor of the KCTU  K Shanker  alleged that the Centre was least bothered about  the problems of the common man and added that such movements were necessitated to  draw the attention of the government towards vital issues.

He also alleged that both the Union and State Governments had failed to  check soaring prices of essential commodities.

Admar Sripathi Acharya, JCTU Convenor, Vishwanath Rai, CITU District President,  and others participated in the protest.
