Udupi June 07, 2016: A pickup van turns turtle claims life of a man. The incident took place on June 06, Monday near Kothalkhatte on National Highway 66.
The deceased is identified as Raju. He was 33year-old, a resident of Bagalkot.
It is learnt that pick-up van plying from Udupi to Mangaluru was transporting the steel cupboards. A banyan tree was uprooted driver noticing it applied sudden brake, due to which the he lost control on the vehicle and it over turned.
The impact of the accident was such that Raju present in vehicle was thrown to distance. He was seriously injured and died on the way to the Hospital.
The Kaup Police Sub Inspector Jagadish Reddy visited the spot. The case has been registered and Investigation is going on.
