Mangalore, May 22, 2012: Speaking after inaugurating the massive Yuva Jagruthi Samavesha organized by the BJP Yuva Morcha at Nehru Maidan on May 22, Tuesday, Anurag Singh Thakur, national president of BJP Yuva Morcha, said that the contributions of the UPA to the country are inflation and corruption.

Criticizing the central government, he said that it is least bothered about the country’s defense, adding that the government has failed to address the problems of the people. He also said that instead of hanging terrorists such as Afsal Guru, the government is providing him excellent security and food with tax payers’ money.

Criticizing PM Manmohan Singh, he said that the prime minister has broken all records of scams and is silent when citizens question him about Rs. 1,70,000 crore lost in various scams. He also spoke on issues such as love jihad and terrorism, adding that the union government ought to pass a bill against love jihad.

Listing the virtues of the BJP, he said that the party has worked hard to strengthen the country’s defense and expressed his appreciation of scientists who tested the Pokhran nuclear bomb. Speaking on the Prevention of Cow Slaughter Bill, he said that the governor has not permitted the passing of this bill, adding that the BJP Yuva Morcha will fight for this cause in the near future. Mr. Thakur also said that India requires prime ministers such as Atal Bihari Vajpayee, not a PM who remains silent and inactive, but a PM who has the ability to end corruption in the country.
