Two youth drown while fishing in river at Barkur

Brahmavar, July 03, 2020:    Two youngsters who   had   ventured into fishing in the Halekodi river of Barkur, have  drowned on Friday morning. The deceased are Harsha (25) of Barkur Hosala village and Karthik (21).

 

 

 

Both of them had cast the net in the river on July 2 night and had come this morning to collect the fish. However when they were drawing the net both  washed away in the river. The bodies of the two youth were later retrieved with the help of locals and fire service personnel.

Both the deceased youth are relatives. If Harsha is working  for a private  finance company, Karthik was a B.Com student. Brahmavar police have registered a case.
