Two students rescued from drowning at Panambur Beach

Lifeguards at panambur beachMangalore, Oct 8, 2014: Life guards of Panambur Beach Tourism Development Project rescued two students from drowning here on October 8.

The students are Veerbhadra(19), resident of Chikbanavara Soudaranalli, Bangalore North and Prasad R(19), resident of  Basavana Guddi, Shimoga, both are students of Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering, Moodbidri.

The group of six from MITE had entered the waters after arriving at the beach in the noon. The lifeguards who were on duty saw the students struggling to afloat and they quickly got into action and saved both Veerbadra and Prasad from drowning.

Beach project CEO Yathish Baikampady said along with this two sttudents the lifeguards at Panambur Beach have rescued 94 people from drowning.
