Mangaluru, Feb 14, 2015: A function was held at the Don Bosco Hall here on February 13, Friday evening to celebrate the 100th day of the Tulu movie ‘Chaali Polilu’ produced by Prakash Pandeshwar under the banner of Jayakirana Films. Senior scholar Dr.B.A. Viveka Rai inaugurated the programme.
In his address, Dr Rai said the Tulu film industry was undergoing a sea change at present and is also attracting the attention of the entire film industry. He said Chaali Polilu has been able to depict its message effectively through a touch of comedy.
Richard Castelino, V Manohar, Tulu theatre personality Devadas Kapikad, Jagannath Shetty Bala, Dr Hamsaraj Alva, Dr Sanjeeva Dandakeri and others were present.
On this occasion Tulu actor Aravind Bolar was conferred ‘Tuluva Manikya’ title while Bhojraj Vamanjoor and Lakshman Kumar Mallur were conferred the titles of ‘Navarasa Raje’ and “Ranga Bhushana’respectively.
‘Chaali Polilu’ Producer Prakash Pandeshwar, Director Veerandra Shetty Kavoor and others were present.
