Traffic diverted to facilitate Mangalore Dasara procession

Mangalore, Oct 17: Security will be tightened and vigilance will be heightened during the Mangalore Dasara celebrations to maintain law, order, and peace. Once the procession commences at 4:00 p.m. today, the traffic will be diverted away from its route.

Around 2 DAR and 6 KSRP platoons have been introduced to the existing police force within the jurisdiction of the Mangalore Commissionerate. 2 KSRP and 1 DAR platoons have been deployed to maintain law and order in the rural DK.

Vehicles moving toward Mangaladevi Temple and toward Kudroli through Alake and New Chitra will have to take another route. Heavy vehicles will enter the city through Nanthoor and Kuntikana and those leaving Mangalore will be diverted at Bunts Hostel.
