The mishap took place at the spot where the NH works are underway at Tokkottu. A tree alongside the NH was felled and was lifted through a crane when it fell over the electric pole which came crashing down.

No sooner  the high-tension wires landed on the road,  a tourist vehicle from Kerala immediately passed over the cables. Locals as well as NH workers who noticed sparks, immediately halted traffic on either sides thus averting casualties.

The road was cleared for traffic after the cables were later removed by the NH workers as well as MESCOM  employees.

Is the crane operator a fresher? Then why was he so careless in hitting the electric pole.

Before going ahead with the NH road work the construction company has to inform to MESCOM to avoid any such danger. Luckily no one is harmed in the incident.

How careless? Thank God they noticed the spark.
