Kasaragog, July 13,207: It has come to light that a raid was conducted on Malabar Express between Mangaluru Central and Kasaragod stations.
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel conducted a raid on a Kerala-bound train and seized 52-kg tobacco products worth Rs. 55,000.
Railway Protection Force Police Sub-Inspector C.M. Bharat Raj, Assistant SI Binoy Kurian, and constable Prajith Kumar conducted the raid on Malabar Express between Mangaluru Central and Kasaragod stations on which the tobacco products, which have been banned in Kerala, were being transported. The Railway Protection Force also secured two people carrying the products, and handed them over to the Kerala Excise Police in Kasaragod along with the seized materials.
