Mangalore, April 15, 2014 : The reported meeting between Prajaprabhutva Vedike President Mahesh Shetty Timarody and BJP candidate Nalin was just a part of the party’s campaign and there are no plans to induct Timarody into the BJP, clarified Pratap Simha Nayak, District President of the BJP.
Nayak was referring to media reports which mentioned that Timarody had met Nalin and RSS leader Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat and has pledged support to Nalin in the election. “The BJP has not officially inducted Timarody into the BJP,” Nayak said.
It may be mentioned here that Timarody who was in the lead in the Sowjanya rape and murder case had earlier even criticised the BJP for its silence on the case.
But Pratap Simha Nayak on April 14, Monday said the BJP on its part has done whatever possible to support the cause. He did not forget to mention that the erstwhile BJP government had entrusted the Sowjanya case to the CoD.
Krishna Palemar, former minister who was also present charged the Congress of failing to complete various developmental works and even pointed out towards the BC Road –Suratkal four-laning project which is still incomplete.
