Mangaluru, Nov 26, 2016: Three women who tried to snatch the purse of a lady waiting for bus at a bus stop at Kankanady were caught hold of by public and handed over to the police on November 25, Friday.
All the three accused are from Maharashtra. It is learnt when the lady waiting for the was checking her purse, one of the accused approached her begging from money. Soon another woman tried to snatch her purse when the lady raised an alarm. Locals who rushed managed to trap two of the women thieves, while three others fled. The police were informed and the two were handed over to them. Another accused was later caught in the same area.
It is learnt the group of women thieves used to move around in the area since some time waiting for the right time to strike.
Kadri police have registered a case.
