Three from Kasba in Bantwal test positive for Covid-19

Mangaluru, May 09, 2020: Three more persons have been tested positive for Covid-19 in Dakshina Kannada district on May 9, Friday. All the three are from Kasba in Bantwal and belong to the same family.

Of the three who tested positive today,  two are women, aged 70 and 60 years while the third patient is a 30 year old man.

It is learnt,  they had contracted the infection from a 69 year old  man  from their family. He was tested positive on May 1. Following this, eight of his family members had been quarantined and of them three are now  tested positive.

With this, the number of infected persons connected with First Neuro Hospital in the DK district has risen to 17.

With the latest three cases, the total Covid-19 positive cases in Dakshina Kannada has risen to 31 while there are 15 active cases. Three patients have died so far while 13 have recovered and discharged from hospital.
