Tene Habba celebrated as part of Ganeshotsava at Bunts Hostel

Mangaluru, September 5, 2016: The ’Tene Habba’ or the ceremony to mark the Blessing of the New Corn was held at Omkar Nagar, Bunts Hostel on September 5, Monday as part of the 13th Sarvajanika Ganeshotsava celebrations of the Ganeshotsava Samithi and Siddi Vinayaka Pratishtana.

Ajith Kumar Rai Malady, President of Buntara yane Nadavara Matra Sangha and Managing Trustee of Sri Siddi Vinayaka Pratishtana brought the new corn in a procession. The programme was earlier inaugurated by Ajith Kumar Rai Malady and his wife Asha Jyothi Rai by lighting the traditional lamp.

Dr A V Shetty and Chandralekha Shetty distributed the blessed new corn to the devotees.

Col. Ramesh Shetty Brahmavar and Vatsala Shetty hoisted the flag to mark the beginning of the Ganeshotsava celebrations.
