Mangaluru, May 30, 2017 : In a tragic incident, two youngsters met a watery grave in the Netravathi River at Adyar on May 30, Monday evening.
The deceased are Likith Raj (16), son of Ramanna of Pudu village in Farangipet, and Yajnesh (16), son of Bhavani Shankar of Kumpana Majalu.
It has been gathered that the two boys had been to the river for a swim and were eventually washed away when the water level increased all of a sudden. Both Likhith and Yajnesh had passed in SSLC exams and were set to attend college in the next few days.
If Yajnesh had joined Sharada Vidyalaya, Likhith had joined Alva’s College.
The motor bikes and clothes of the two boys were found on the river bank.
A case has been registered by the local police.
