Swacch Mangaluru Abhiyan continues at 10 places

Mangaluru, Nov 08, 2016: Swachh Mangaluru Abhiyan of Ramakrishna Mission was organised at 10 different places in the city at the start of this week. The Mission has plans to carry out 400 such drives across the city in coming months.
The inmates of Bhagini Samaj and public of Morgans Gate area participated in the cleanliness drive. Members of Mangalore Art of Living under the leadership of Sadashiva Kamath cleaned the surroundings of Ladyhill and surroundings. At Valencia, students of Sahyadri Engineering College under the leadership of Srilatha took up the cleanliness drive in Valencia area. Inmates of Girls’ Hostel of Other Backward Classes took up the cleanliness drive at Chilimbi while the members of Nivedita Balaga took up the cleanliness drive in and around Cascia High School area.
At Ganapathi High school Road, the cleanliness drive was organised in association with Ganapathi High School. Swami Tyagishwaranandaji of Bangalore Ramakrishna Mutt and Ramachandra Rao jointly flagged off the drive. MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik addressed the gathering about hygiene and cleanliness.
In Konchady, the members of Konchady Friends Circle took up the cleanliness drive in Nekkila Malemar road. About 45 youths, under the guidance of Yogish and Deekshith took up the cleanliness drive for about three hours. Members of MCF Mangala team and officials took up the 45th cleanliness drive in Urwa Market area. Swami Tyagishwaranandaji of Bengaluru and MCF Director Prabhakar Rao flagged off the drive. Members of Urwa Cultural group, students of Karnataka Ayurveda College, auto drivers actively participated in the drive. About 150 members participated in the drive.
Paramjyothi Manava Seva Samiti and Sri Narayana Guru College jointly organised the cleanliness drive in Kudroli area. The members of Mangaluru Senior Citizens’ Forum carried out the 52nd cleanliness drive in and around KSRTC bus stand in Bejai.
Nitte Education Trust and MRPL are patrons for this 3rd phase of Swacch Mangaluru Abhiyan.
