Suspicious death of elderly woman; son blamed

Mangaluru, Jan 30, 2015 : In a case of suspicious death the body of a 60 year old woman  from Karingana in Hosabettu village near Moodbidri was found hanging from the ceiling of her house on January 28. As per the complaint lodged by Paul Goveas, yhe husband of the deceased woman Lily Goveas,  the suspicion is on their estranged son Dolphy with whom the other family members had a strained relationship.

The incident is learnt to have taken place when Paul along with his other son Stany had been to Karkala for the Attur St Lawrence Feast.  It is said Paul grew suspicions when his wife did not attend to his phone calls. He then telephoned his neighbours who visited the house only to find Lily hanging from the ceiling  with a nylon rope.

It is learnt, a court order has prevented  Dolphy from visiting his house, but still he used to  visit and harass his family members.

Investigations are underway.
