Mangaluru, Sep 04, 2019: Twenty four year old Mohammad Fayaz from Sullia, who is employed as an accountant in Mumbai has won the Big Ticket raffle draw held at Abu Dhabi International Airport on October 3, Thursday evening. Fayaz who has never been to the UAE has won a prize money of Dh 12 million which is approximately Rs 23 crores.
Fayaz says the idea of purchasing the Big Ticket was given to him by his roommate and he used to purchase it since the past six months. Last time he had purchased it in the last minute, on the last day of September and it eventually proved to be lucky for him.
When Big Ticket Raffle Draw’s Richard called him at least four times to inform about his winning, Fayaz’s phone was busy and finally when the phone was connected Fayaz was elated.
Fayaz who lost both his parents to kidney ailment at a young age had been to Mumbai for job in order to look after his two sisters and a brother. His elder sister is now married. The family of Fayaz had even sold a portion of the land which it owned in order to build a house. Fayaz now wants to reclaim the sold land with the help of his prize money and complete house construction. He also intends to do some charity work.
Fayaz will be travelling to UAE next month to collect his prize cheque.
