Sullia : Robbers break into house, loot cash, gold worth Rs 3.75 lakhs

Sullia, Oct 10, 2015: In a shocking incident, a couple was robbed of cash and gold  all worth Rs 3.75 lakhs  by a gang of thieves  after breaking into the house and tying up the couple at Kanthamangala in Mandekolu of Sullia taluk on October 10, Saturday.

 

It is learnt, the thieves broke open  the rear door of the house of Ramachandra,who runs and agro agency  and then committed the theft. According to the couple the  thieves were speaking in Kannada and Telugu.

The couple have informed the police that cash of Rs 75000 and gold worth nearly Rs 3 lakhs have been robbed.

Sullia police are investigating the case and have set up barricades to check vehicles at several places.

The investigation has also been extended to the nearby Kerala with the Sulla police already intimating their counter parts in Kasargod, Kumble, Adoor and Badiadka police stations.
