Sub-Inspector K Jayaprakash chosen for distinguished Presidential Police Award

Mangaluru, August 15, 2020: K  Jayaprakash, Sub-Inspector in the Wireless unit of  Control Room of Mangaluru Police Commissionerate limits has been  chosen for the 2019-20 Presidential Police Award.

Jayaprakash has been chosen for the Award  in recognition of his distinguished service in the wireless  unit of the City Police Control Room  during natural calamities and untoward incidents. He is the only police officer from the district chosen for this coveted award this year.

Total of 19 police officers from the state will be conferred with the President’s Police medals. While 18 of them, including eight DySPs, two police inspectors and three PSIs, will be awarded the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service, V L N Prasanna Kumar, the ASI attached with CID, Bengaluru, will get the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service.
