Puttur, Jan 05, 2017 : Police had to resort to a mild lathi charge after students from two different communities engaged in a clash in the premises of Uppinangady Government College on January 4, Wednesday over a trivial issue. It is said the clash broke out after a boy was seen speaking to a girl of another community.
The management had to finally call the police to bring the situation under control. The students were later made to give an undertaking that they would not resort to such acts in future.
